It's been a very long time since we posted a blog, or sent a newsletter. At least you know we're not a pushy sales-driven organisation! But we have been working hard, improving our products and processes and developing new devices targeted at things you care about. Here are a few important news items; we hope to provide more details in coming weeks and months.
- We moved to much larger premises, in April 2017. Now we are adding even more laser tables (12 at last count) and expanding the clean-air handling to create more ISO6 areas
- We are working closely with Menlo Systems, who have used our cateye lasers to achieve 0.6 Hz linewidth (see ORS-DL)
- Our range of laser diodes is expanding with curved waveguide and quantum dot devices, and extension across the near infra-red range including 1178nm, 1299nm, 1560nm and more
- FSC fast servo controller, for linewidth narrowing and PDH locking to optical cavities
- MSA all-new amplified laser system using wire-cut flexures for precision alignment
- LDL Littrow desmo laser: entirely new Littrow design without springs or flexures
- LDD tapered amplifier diode driver
- Off-the-shelf 780nm/100mW laser systems, for overnight delivery at very low pricing
- Our own single and double-stage Faraday isolators with industry-leading specifications
- ARF/XRF update: colour LCD display, lower-noise power amplifiers, faster tablemode, GUI upgrades
- MWM now has PID locking, and revision 3 of the mechanics has improved stability
- Ultrafast in-laser electronics for linewidth narrowing (B1240 headboard)
- New piezo cartridge for cateye lasers
